Danes Experience Decline in Seasonally Adjusted Property Prices and Sales for Q4 2022

  • Seasonally adjusted sales of one-family houses, weekend cottages, and owner-occupied flats in Denmark for Q4 2022 are reported.
  • Price indices, seasonally adjusted, show a decrease in prices compared to the previous quarter for one-family houses (-3.2%), weekend cottages (-1.8%), and owner-occupied flats (-0.8%).
  • Price indices, seasonally adjusted, also show a decrease in prices compared to the same quarter the year before for one-family houses (-6.2%), weekend cottages (-1.0%), and owner-occupied flats (-5.3%).
  • Number of sales, seasonally adjusted, for Q4 2022 are reported, with decreases compared to the previous quarter for one-family houses (-13.0%), weekend cottages (-17.8%), and owner-occupied flats (-14.2%).
  • Number of sales, seasonally adjusted, also show significant decreases compared to the same quarter the year before for one-family houses (-36.1%), weekend cottages (-39.8%), and owner-occupied flats (-42.6%).
  • Seasonally adjusted price indices are only compiled at the national level, while seasonal adjustment for number of sales is compiled for five regions and the national level, except for the sale of owner-occupied flats in Region Syddanmark and Region Sjælland due to the absence of systematic seasonal fluctuations.
