EU and Norway conclude “Green Alliance” for privileged cooperation on climate action and clean energy

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Norwegian Prime Minister, Jonas Støre, have concluded a Green Alliance between the European Union and Norway, which aims to provide privileged cooperation on climate action, clean energy, industrial transformation, and environmental protection. The alliance also focuses on renewables, particularly offshore wind, and critical raw materials, which are essential for the green transformation. It symbolizes the deep bond and friendship between Norway and the EU, as demonstrated during the energy crisis when Norway increased its gas deliveries to the EU to prevent blackouts.
