G7 Deputies Meet to Strengthen Multilateral Sanctions and Export Controls Against Russia’s Illegal War Efforts in Ukraine.

On April 27, 2023, G7 Enforcement Coordination Mechanism Deputies Meeting was held to strengthen the enforcement of multilateral sanctions and export controls against Russia’s illegal war. Participants discussed Russia’s efforts to evade G7 export controls and sanctions, identified shared enforcement priorities, and emphasized the need to engage with and take action against third-country actors supporting Russia’s war in Ukraine. They also acknowledged the importance of the private sector in countering sanctions evasion and providing guidance and information.
