Norway’s Producer Price Index Up 0.8% in April 2023, Led by Extraction and Related Services

The Producer Price Index for April 2023 shows a 0.8% increase in the overall index, with a 1.5% increase in Extraction and related services. The index for Energy goods increased by 1.4%, while the index for Electricity, gas and steam decreased by 1.0%. The Manufacturing, total index increased by 0.1%, with varying changes in selected series such as Food products, Refined petroleum products, Basic metals, and Machinery and equipment. The index weights are updated annually and are valid for the entire year.
