Oslo, 23 June 2023 – Norway’s manufacturing, mining, and quarrying sectors have experienced a significant boost in the production of commodities, according to the latest data. The sold production of goods in the manufacturing industry reached NOK 896,254,484 in 2022, indicating a strong upward trend.
In the manufacturing industry, there was a remarkable increase of 23.2% in the value of sold own production compared to the previous year. This translates to a value of NOK 884,448,043. Additionally, the production under sub-contracted operations saw substantial growth, soaring by 141.5% to reach a value of NOK 7,700,789.
The mining and quarrying sector also experienced positive growth, with a 15.5% increase in sold production value, amounting to NOK 11,806,441.
