In 2021, 10.1% of individuals who had some form of relationship with the Social Security system in Spain had an officially recognized disability. Among them, 77.0% solely received a contributory pension from the Social Security system at some point during the year. This percentage is 56.2 points higher than that of individuals without disabilities. Additionally, 9.8% of people with disabilities had only an employment record (at least one day of employment during the year), compared to 55.1% of individuals without disabilities.
