On July 23, 2023, the 12th Trilateral Central Bank Governors’ Meeting of China, Japan, and South Korea was held in Yokohama, Japan. This marked the first time the meeting took place in four years. Lee Chang-yeol, the Governor of the Bank of Korea, chaired the meeting, while Pan Gongsheng, Party Secretary of the Chinese People’s Bank of China and Director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, and Haruhiko Kuroda, the Governor of the Bank of Japan, attended the conference. During the meeting, they exchanged views on the recent economic and financial situations. Additionally, it was announced that China will host the 13th Trilateral Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in 2024.
