Physical measures, including the use of excavators, are being employed. The police have also requested military assistance, with national police resources present as well.
The situation at the power plant could lead to increased water flow downstream along the Glomma river, impacting those residing nearby. As a result, police, in collaboration with Våler municipality, have commenced the evacuation of residents along the river.
Authorities advise residents in the vicinity to remain vigilant about sudden changes in water levels and to maintain a safe distance from the Glomma river.
