From September 20 to 22, 2023, Deputy Governor Zhang Qingsong of the People’s Bank of China attended the 65th Deputy Governors’ Meeting and 34th Monetary and Financial Stability Committee (MFSC) Meeting organized by the East Asia and Pacific Central Banks (EMEAP) in Hong Kong. The meetings addressed regional economic and financial conditions, financial institutions’ response to climate change, central bank digital currencies, and included progress reports from the MFSC and various working groups.
