The third high-level financial dialogue between China and Germany took place on October 1 in Frankfurt, Germany. Leading the dialogue were Mr. He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Vice Premier of the State Council, and the Chinese head of the dialogue mechanism, along with Mr. Olaf Scholz, Minister of Finance of Germany and the German head of the dialogue mechanism.
Mr. He Lifeng expressed China’s willingness to work with Germany to implement important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and inject more positive energy into the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany.
Mr. Olaf Scholz stated that Germany is willing to strengthen practical cooperation in the financial and economic fields with China, promoting the continuous development of Sino-German relations.
During the dialogue, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the macroeconomic situation, global economic governance, and Sino-German financial cooperation, leading to a series of mutually beneficial outcomes and agreements.
As part of the dialogue, Mr. He Lifeng and Mr. Olaf Scholz jointly attended the China-Germany Financial Industry Roundtable.
