The latest dataset reveals the number of electricity production and storage installations in France with a capacity of less than 36 kW, organized by the geographic IRIS units. This dataset aggregates installations with an installed or connected power of less than 36 kW, sharing the same IRIS code. Pursuant to the decree of July 7, 2016, the count of installations per IRIS unit must be made public.
IRIS units, or “Ilots Regroupés pour l’Information Statistique,” are referenced by INSEE (the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies). This dataset is linked to the data from the National Register of Electricity Production and Storage Installations (as of August 31, 2023).
This dataset is updated biannually, providing valuable insights into the landscape of small-scale electricity production and storage in France.
