According to the October preliminary statistics, 59,765 individuals migrated to Finland from abroad, while 11,332 people emigrated from Finland in the same period. This resulted in 19,001 more immigrants and 2,093 fewer emigrants compared to the same period in the previous year. Among the immigrants, 6,114 were Finnish citizens, and among the emigrants, 7,246 were Finnish citizens.
Inter-municipality migrations totaled 243,276 from January to October, showing a decrease of 11,563 compared to the same period in the previous year based on the 2023 municipal division.
