Client Data for Supported Living in the Netherlands: 2022 and 1st Half of 2023

The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has released tables providing insights into various aspects of supported living under the Social Support Act (Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning or Wmo) in the Netherlands. The data includes information on the number of clients in 2022 and the first half of 2023 with arrangements for supported living, as well as client demographics.

As part of the Municipal Monitor Social Domain, CBS collects data twice a year from municipalities regarding customized Wmo arrangements. In addition to the StatLine tables published by CBS, these specific tables on supported living have been compiled. One table presents the number of clients with a supported living arrangement under the Wmo in 2022 and the first half of 2023. This table also breaks down the number of clients by funding type (Personal Budget or care in kind). The other table provides information on clients with a supported living trajectory based on personal characteristics such as age, gender, household type, migration background, and income.
