Survey on Living Conditions in Italy: Longitudinal Data for Research Available

The survey on income and living conditions of families in Italy is part of a broader European information system known as “Statistics on Income and Living Conditions” (Eu-Silc). Established by Regulation (EU) No 1177/2003 of the European Parliament and coordinated by Eurostat, this system responds to the increasing demand for detailed statistical information on topics such as income, poverty, and social exclusion.

The primary objective of this survey is to provide comparable data across European countries, both cross-sectionally and longitudinally, using harmonized definitions and methods. This facilitates the analysis of income distribution, inequality, poverty, deprivation, social exclusion, and the overall quality of family life.

For further details and access to longitudinal data for research purposes, please refer to the official resources made available.
