On 24 November 2025, European Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Costas Kadis, hosted an implementation dialogue in Brussels focused on small‑scale and coastal fisheries (SSCF). Participants included fishers, Fisheries Local Actions Groups (FLAGs), advisory councils, NGOs, Member State representatives, industry and social partners. The meeting aimed to discuss how EU fishing policies can be practically applied to strengthen the sustainability, resilience and long‑term viability of SSCF across European sea basins.
