October 2025 Retail Sales Rise 0.9% After Adjustments

Detail sales in Denmark increased by 0.9 % from September to October 2025 after adjustments for price changes, seasonal effects and trading days. The rise was driven by other consumer goods, which grew 1.3 %, and food and other groceries, which grew 0.7 %. Sales of clothing and similar items fell 0.3 %. The sector of textiles and household goods, a key part of other consumer goods, contributed about two‑thirds of the overall gain and recorded a 7 % increase. From January to October 2025, sales in that sector were 6.9 % higher than in the same period in 2024. The strongest growth was seen in watches, jewellery and gold/silver (19.6 %) and household textiles and lighting (8.7 %). The lowest increases were in precious‑metal trade (1.0 %) and kitchenware, glass, porcelain and cutlery (3.4 %). These sector figures are not seasonally or price‑adjusted. The revision from the previous release shows no change in the overall trend, and the 0.3 % rise from July to August remains unchanged.
