EU Commission Launches Second European Standardisation Panel Survey

The European Commission has launched the second edition of its European Standardisation Panel survey to collect industry input on standardisation needs and support innovation and competitiveness across the EU. The survey will seek views from large firms, small‑and‑medium‑sized enterprises, start‑ups, experts, patent applicants and research actors involved in standardisation, aiming for balanced representation across technology sectors. Findings will feed the EU Standardisation Strategy, building on earlier studies and the Code of Practice on standardisation in the European Research Area. Responses are due by 31 January 2026. Results, expected in 2026, will inform strategic recommendations for policymakers, industry representatives and standardisation bodies, aligning policy with industry demand and promoting economic and societal benefits.
