Preliminary November 2025 Consumer Price Index Shows 1.4% Annual Increase

Preliminary data released by Statistics Finland on 2 December 2025 show that the uniform consumer price index (YKHI) increased by 1.4 percent year‑over‑year in November 2025. The same annual rise was recorded for October. The monthly change for November is expected to be –0.2 percent. The largest year‑over‑year increase, 5.6 percent, was recorded in the health sector. Other notable changes include food and non‑alcoholic beverages (+1.69 percent), alcohol and tobacco (+2.30 percent), energy (+1.25 percent) and clothing (–0.74 percent). YKHI does not include owner‑occupied housing, gambling, loan interest, home insurance, vehicle tax or fishing and hunting fees, in line with EU rules. The preliminary figures will be updated after the full month’s data are collected.
