UK Hosts Fourth Annual Dialogue with France on Industrial Strategy

On 11 December 2025, the United Kingdom hosted the fourth edition of its annual dialogue with France’s Direction générale des Entreprises (DGE). The talks, launched in 2023, bring public‑sector leaders and policy experts together to identify opportunities for deeper cooperation. The session was led by Amanda Brooks CBE, Director General of the UK Department for Business and Trade, and Thomas Courbe, Director General of the DGE, with support from the British Embassy in Paris and the French Embassy in London. This year’s focus was the Industrial Strategy Partnership, agreed in July 2025, which strengthens collaboration in high‑growth sectors such as clean energy, critical minerals and digital technologies including artificial intelligence. Both sides pledged to deepen collaboration and share best practices in SME AI adoption and economic security.
