Rijkswaterstaat Begins Rebuilding of Kloosters Service Area on A58

Rijkswaterstaat will begin on 5 January 2026 the redevelopment of the Kloosters service area on the A58 near Oirschot. The project aims to create a safer, more organised, and sustainable stop for motorists. Separate lanes for passenger cars and heavy trucks will be introduced, along a new carriageway that keeps pedestrians and vehicles apart. The site will feature native planting, a frog pond, a bee box and three rain‑water capture systems that filter and store runoff. Parking will increase to 49 passenger spots and 26 truck spots, with two electric truck chargers added to the existing Fastned station. The works will last until autumn 2026, with a full closure for about five weeks in spring 2026.
