The European Defence Fund (EDF) MaJoR project has launched its first cascade funding call, open until 25 March 2026. The initiative seeks up to 30 innovators to develop technological solutions for modernizing defence systems and enhancing multi-material structure durability across air, sea, and land domains. Eligible applicants include SMEs and start-ups from EU Member States, Norway, or Ukraine, with Ukrainian entities encouraged to apply. Priority areas include hybrid structures, joining technologies, structural health monitoring, non-destructive testing, and digitalization tools. Successful applicants may receive up to €60,000 in funding and participate in a six-month business development program. The call supports Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP), enabling smaller players to contribute to defence innovation.
