SCB releases preliminary March 2026 inflation figures

Statistiska centralbyrån (SCB) released preliminary inflation figures for March 2026, showing a consumer price index (KPI) rate of 0.6 percent, up from 0.5 percent in February. The monthly change in KPI from February to March was –0.6 percent. According to preliminary data, the inflation rate based on the consumer price index with fixed interest (KPIF) fell from 1.7 percent in February to 1.6 percent in March, with a monthly change of –0.6 percent. The KPIF‑XE, which excludes energy, decreased from 1.4 percent to 1.1 percent, a change of –0.3 percent. The official release for March will be published on 14 April. SCB’s “Snabb‑KPI” is a provisional estimate released five working days before the official figures.
