Homes England Partnership Acquires Manchester Neighbourhood for 107 Rental Apartments

Homes England, Swiss Life Asset Managers and Capital&Centric have announced the acquisition of the Ferrous neighbourhood in Manchester as the first project of their Impact&Places partnership. The former industrial site on Chapeltown Street will be redeveloped into 107 rental apartments, a resident rooftop terrace and other amenities. Two green pocket parks and a shared space called The Cabin will also be added. The partnership is backed by the National Housing Bank and will receive part of an £860 million investment planned over the next decade for residential‑led regeneration in high‑demand areas. Planning permission is in place and construction is slated to begin by the end of the year, with the first homes expected for completion in mid‑late 2028.
