France Tests Readiness in Multinational Exercise ORION 26

France tested its readiness for intense warfare during Exercise ORION 26 Phase 04 from 7 to 30 April 2026. The simulation covered hybrid, conventional, cyber, information, space and special‑forces operations. In the final “Operations within NATO” phase, the 1st Army Corps acted as a corps, combining a command‑post exercise with a scenario to evaluate operational planning. Phase 04’s sub‑phases O41 and O42 focused on scaling command‑post capabilities and deploying forces in open terrain to achieve objectives. Media coverage included three Media Days – 7 April in Mailly, 11 April in Poitiers, and 23 April in Chaumont – with deadlines subject to weather. Teams could submit up to two participants per outlet, providing names, contact details and valid ID and press credentials by Tuesday, 7 April 2026. Contact details for the Media Relations Office were provided. Information and Communication of Defense (DICOD) at 60 boulevard du général Martial Valin, CS 21623, 75009 Paris Cedex 15, serves as the ministry’s media centre.
