Truck toll mileage index on German motorways fell 0.3% in March 2026 compared with February, according to a press release issued on 9 April 2026 by the Federal Logistics and Mobility Office (BALM) and the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). The index, which measures the mileage covered by trucks with four or more axles subject to toll charges, was seasonally and calendar adjusted and was down 0.6% compared with March 2025. The data are part of the monthly series available in the GENESIS‑Online database (Tables 42191‑0001, 42191‑0010 and 42191‑0002) and are also published in the Business Cycle Monitor. The figures are based on the X13 JDemetra+ adjustment method with 2021 set as the base year 100.
