National Collective Contracts: March 2026 Data

By the end of March 2026, 46 national collective contracts for the economic sector were in force, covering about 9 million employees – 68.8 % of all workers. The private sector held 87.9 % of these contracts, while the public administration had none because all its contracts had expired. In the first quarter of 2026, seven new contracts were adopted: five in industry, one in private services, and one for the public sector covering the 2022‑2024 triennium. At the end of March, 29 contracts were pending renewal, involving roughly 4.1 million employees, with 1.2 million in the private sector and 2.8 million in public administration. The average waiting time for renewal fell from 23.1 to 14.9 months, and for all employees from 10.9 to 4.7 months. Hourly wages rose 2.6 % compared with the same period in 2025. The contracted hourly wage index increased 0.1 % from February and 2.4 % from March 2025. Public administration employees saw a 3.2 % rise, while industry and private services rose 2.3 % each. Highest increases were in energy and petrochemicals (7.7 %), mineral extraction (7.4 %), and waste disposal services (5.7 %). No increase was recorded for private pharmacies.
