ONS Releases 2010‑2023 Gross Disposable Household Income Estimates at Lower‑Layer Areas

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has announced that it will publish detailed gross disposable household income (GDHI) estimates for Lower‑layer Super Output Areas (LSOAs) and equivalent geographies covering the period 2010 to 2023. The release is scheduled for 28 May 2026 at 9:30 a.m. and includes three publications: the main report on disaggregating UK subnational GDHI to lower levels, granular GDHI estimates for other geographic areas, and small‑area GDHI estimates for LSOAs. The publication follows two postponements: first from 9 December 2025 to 25 February 2026 for a thorough review of data processing methods and quality assurance, and then to 28 May 2026 to allow further improvements to estimates for social benefits received and GDHI.
