Spain’s Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) reported that 299,732 foreign residents acquired Spanish nationality in 2025, an increase of 18.7% compared to the previous year. The figure includes 133,663 men (up 20.43%) and 166,069 women (up 17.38%). Residents born in Spain accounted for 52,886 cases (a rise of 2.60%), while those born abroad totaled 246,846 (up 22.85%).
