In the first quarter of 2026, Sweden’s goods export value fell 3 percent compared with the same period in 2025, while the volume of goods exported rose 3 percent. The value of goods imported remained unchanged, but the volume of imports increased 4 percent. Total export value reached 519 billion Swedish krona and total import value was 506 billion krona, resulting in a trade surplus of 13 billion krona. Exports to the United States dropped 18 percent in value, a decline largely attributed to machinery products, according to statistician Maria Adolfsson of Statistics Sweden.
