The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published its first‑quarter 2026 release of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) involving UK companies. The data cover transactions that result in a change of ultimate control of a target company and have a value of £1 million or more. The release contains several datasets, including quarterly domestic and outward M&A revisions triangles, industry tables that estimate values and numbers by economic activity, and quarterly estimates of mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
