WASHINGTON – The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced on July 1, 2026 the creation of the Alliance of National Councils for Homeland Operational Resilience – Critical Infrastructure (ANCHOR‑CI). The new advisory‑body framework will expand information sharing and partnerships between government and industry to secure critical infrastructure. ANCHOR‑CI builds on lessons from the Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council and will include four types of councils: sector, cross‑sector, industry, and regional coordinating councils. CISA will manage governance and facilitate open discussion of sensitive information. The councils will operate for two years and may be extended by the Secretary under the Homeland Security Act. For more information, visit cisa.gov/ANCHOR‑CI.
