Industrial Production Value in Finland Turns to Growth in 2025

Finland’s national statistics office reported on 2 July 2026 that industrial production value in 2025 rose to about 91.7 billion euros, reversing a previous decline. Subcontract production payments reached roughly 3.5 billion euros. Under the new TOL 2025 industry classification, the chemical industry accounted for the largest share, with a value of 18.2 billion euros—about 19.8 % of total industrial output. Other significant sectors were wood, paper and printing (17.4 billion euros) and machinery and equipment (17.2 billion euros). Subcontract payments totaled 3.5 billion euros, the metal industry received the largest share at 1.3 billion euros (36 %) followed by chemicals at 1.0 billion euros (28 %) and machinery at 0.7 billion euros (19 %). The change to the TOL 2025 classification also re‑grouped product categories, affecting how past data are compared.
