He copied proprietary X-ray technology data and used it for the competitor’s operations. Jen was found guilty of conspiracy to steal trade secrets and possession of stolen information. His sentencing is scheduled for January 5, 2027. Two other former Philips engineers previously pleaded guilty to possessing stolen trade secrets. The Chinese entities involved remain indicted and have not yet appeared in court. The U.S. Attorney’s Office emphasized prosecuting trade secret theft to protect innovation and economic security.
