Norway to provide NOK 4.5 billion in civilian support and humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Norway has pledged to provide NOK 4.5 billion (EUR 378 million) to Ukraine under the Nansen Support Programme. The funds will be used for humanitarian aid, repairing and maintaining civilian infrastructure to provide Ukrainians with access to electricity and water, and civilian support for the Ukrainian government administration. Norway has committed to providing NOK 15 billion (EUR 1.2 billion) annually for the next five years, with half of the funds being provided as military support and the other half as humanitarian and civilian support. The Nordic countries have pledged continued military, humanitarian, and civilian support to Ukraine and support Ukraine’s initiative for achieving a just and lasting peace.
