Industrial Production Index in Spain Increases by 1.5% in March 2023

The Industrial Production Index for March 2023 shows a monthly variation of 1.5% when seasonal and calendar effects are eliminated. The annual rate of the index stands at 4.5% in the series adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects and 5.3% in the original series. Capital goods showed the highest annual variation of 12.6% in the original series and 13.2% in the corrected series. The Industrial Production Index is a short-term indicator that measures the monthly evolution of the productive activity of industrial branches, excluding construction, contained in the National Classification of Economic Activities.
